Hello,

Although, as with all devices, the Operating system, software and standard Android Applications do take up a portion of the memory. Hence the full GB storage may not be available for use.

The SD space showing is the part of the internal memory but is separate due to the other part containing the Android OS which takes up the rest of the internal memory up. You will have to manually move your files and applications to your internal SD memory.

We do recommend using using an application called 'Clean Master' which is free to download and can be a very handy tool to transfer files around your tablet. (A step by step guide can be found on another article). There will also be another article available which explains how to move files from your Internal SD memory to your External SD (SD Memory Card) on the ES File Explorer application.

There are also other possibilities such as the cache which can often get too full to allow the efficient running of apps. Apps like Cache Cleaner, from the Google Playstore, will let you clean the cache for specific apps to free up memory.
